Burger Geek Birkenhead Review: Is The Kraabby Burger Worth It Today I wandered around Birkenhead Mall on a quiet Sunday night and ended up at Burger Geek. Something interesting caught my eye on the menu. They serve bacon, but you can also choose a halal option. When you click halal, they actually cook your burger on a completely separate grill, with zero cross-contamination. All their meats are already halal; the separate grill is just an extra step. I love that. I ordered the Kraabby burger with double smashed Angus and Wagyu patties, soft sesame bun, ketchup, cheese, mustard and lettuce. I made it a combo with fries, aioli and a Pepsi Max. The cutest thing happened while waiting. A little girl kept waving at me like she recognised me, and honestly, she made my whole night. The food came, and the fries were the star. Super crispy and seasoned really well. The burger was enjoyable and straightforward. Nothing crazy, just a solid burger that you will like, but you do not need to rush for. I Tried McDonald's Big Arch With Five Patties Today I went to McDonald’s Constellation Drive and decided to go all in with the Big Arch. It normally comes with two quarter-pound beef patties, but I pushed it to the max and added three more. Five patties stacked with melted cheddar, crispy onions, fresh onions, lettuce, pickles, and the Big Arch sauce inside a toasted sesame and poppy seed bun. The lady at the counter even gave me that look, as if I was about to face a real challenge. First bite was magic, the beef was juicy, and the cheese was melting everywhere. Halfway through, the bun gave up, and I had to eat it piece by piece. Worth it for the experience. I Tried Singapore’s $1.90 Chicken Rice | Nguan Express 88 Today, I went to Ang Mo Kio to try a full, proper meal for only $1.90 at Nguan Express 88. Even before I saw the stall, the smell of chicken rice filled the air, and the queue was non-stop. When my plate came out, the portion was so generous. The rice was rich with chicken stock flavour, the chicken was juicy, and the chilli on top tied everything together. For $1.90, this might be the best value meal in Singapore. Naturally, I went in with high expectations. I ordered the All-Star Triple, triple beef, triple cheese, triple everything. Twenty-two ninety for the burger and another eight forty for the combo with fries and a Coke Zero. It looked like a dream, glossy bun, melting cheese, that fresh onion crunch, and the smell was next level. But halfway through, I felt like I was fighting the oil instead of enjoying the burger. I tried their Steak & Frites ($28), a Pistachio Éclair ($9), and a Coke Zero ($6). The steak came with rich herb butter and crispy twice-fried fries just like in France. I wasn’t even asked how I wanted my steak done, but it turned out perfectly medium and full of flavour. The fries were crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, with no extra salt needed. The café itself was cute, cosy, and clearly a local favourite.
