Singapore, 12 November 2024 – Emirates has once again been recognized as the best in global air travel, winning the prestigious title of ‘Best Airline in the World’ at the ULTRAs 2024 Awards. This honour, determined by thousands of travellers worldwide, applauds Emirates for its exceptional products, innovative services, and outstanding value. This accolade marks just one of over 20 awards Emirates has received this year, including ‘World’s Best Airline’ by Telegraph Travel (where it ranked first among 90 airlines) and ‘Best Airline’ by The Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards.
A Celebration of Excellence
Held at Kensington Palace in London, the ULTRAs Awards ceremony gathered travel industry leaders, notable guests, and Emirates’ senior representatives Thierry Aucoc and Jabr Al-Azeeby, who accepted the award on behalf of the airline. The ULTRAs (Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards) are renowned for celebrating the best in travel, with winners chosen by a global network of affluent and active travellers. With a circulation of 1.2 million, Ultratravelmagazine reaches travel enthusiasts who know quality when they see it.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airlines, expressed his pride in the recognition, stating, “Our investments in products, services, training, and technology are all aimed at enhancing the travel experience at every step, so our customers truly ‘fly better.’” Clark also mentioned that the airline’s multi-billion dollar refurbishment program will see over 200 aircraft with completely refreshed interiors, designed to elevate the Emirates experience even further.
Commitment to Enhanced Travel Experiences
Emirates continues to set the bar in air travel with strategic investments in its fleet and customer services. In the past year, Emirates introduced eight refurbished aircraft with refreshed interiors as part of its $4 billion retrofit program, launched premium lounges in London Stansted and Jeddah, and upgraded its Paris Charles de Gaulle lounge. To bring the Emirates experience closer to customers, new experiential travel stores were opened in Hong Kong, London, and Paris.
The airline also expanded its route network, resuming services to Phnom Penh via Singapore and announcing new routes to Bogotá via Miami and Madagascar via the Seychelles. Between April and September 2024, Emirates transported a record-breaking 26.9 million passengers across 148 destinations.
