Today we went to K Fry at TRX because we had been seeing nonstop queues all weekend. People were lining up like crazy, and we were wondering why. So we came back on Monday to check it out properly, and when you walk in, you feel that full K-pop energy. Screens everywhere, colours everywhere. K-pop groups performing on loop. It honestly feels like you just stepped into the heart of Seoul.

We looked at the menu, and the first thing that caught my attention was the fried chicken with melted cheese. You can get a 12-piece set with fries and melted cheese, or go for the 6-piece set. We chose the six because we had already eaten earlier and planned to eat more after this. We also added a pan-fried kimchi pancake because my wife absolutely loves kimchi dishes.

The chicken was insane. Now I know why this place has queues all weekend. They actually come to your table, melt the cheese in front of you, then wrap each chicken piece individually. The cheese pull is crazy. One bite, and it hits you with that Korean yangnyeom Gangnam-style chilli flavour. Cheesy, spicy, sweet, crunchy. Honestly, such a vibe.

The kimchi pancake was not my favourite, but it was still lovely. It reminded me of kimchi fried rice, so it did not shock me, but my wife enjoyed it.

Then came the part we were waiting for the whole time. Dessert. We ordered the strawberry slushy, and my goodness, it looked like a piece of art. Sparkling fizzy drink, strawberry sweetness and a giant popsicle sitting in the middle. So refreshing and perfect for the KL heat.

Then the surprise. They served us two bowls of ice cream, and we said we did not order that. They said it was on the house. And let me tell you, this ice cream was the star of the entire day. It reminded me of the ice cream from Alexandria in Egypt. Old school vanilla flavour with real vanilla bits and biscuits to mix in. My goodness, it was incredible. One of the best things I have eaten this entire trip.

Would I return? Absolutely—one hundred per cent. If you are near JB or KL, or you want a fun Korean dining experience, get in the car, cross the bridge, and try K Fry. You will thank me later.
