Fore Coffee Tiong Bahru Review
Fore Coffee Smooth Indonesian Arabica in the Heart of Singapore
If you are walking around Tiong Bahru and looking for a reliable, well-balanced coffee, Fore Coffee Tiong Bahru is a solid stop (where Starbucks used to be). Known for championing Indonesian coffee, Fore Coffee offers a modern café experience, with a strong focus on showcasing flavours from across the Indonesian archipelago.
Flat White
Price SGD 6.00
Standard size
I ordered a flat white and kept it simple. At six dollars, it sits right in the middle of Singapore café pricing. The cup came out smooth and easy to drink with no sharp edges. Fore Coffee uses Indonesian Arabica beans, medium to dark-roasted, with nutty notes. On paper, the beans are said to have higher acidity, but in the cup, it wasn’t apparent at all. Instead, it drank clean, balanced and mellow, making it a very approachable flat white.
This is the kind of coffee you can enjoy without overthinking it. No bitterness, no sourness, just smooth and comforting.
Americano Beans Explained
While I did not order the Americano this time, it is worth noting their bean selection. They use a blend of two Indonesian beans from different regions, designed to add more depth and complexity to black coffee. If you prefer something cleaner and more expressive of origin, the Americano here is likely worth trying on your next visit.
Indonesian Coffee at the Core
It sources its premium Arabica beans entirely from Indonesia. Their key regions include Aceh, Toraja and West Java, all known for producing distinctive coffee profiles. The brand focuses on using one hundred per cent locally grown beans, working closely with local farmers and promoting sustainable sourcing practices.
This approach is part of Fore Coffee’s broader mission to showcase Indonesian coffee culture, not just at home but also internationally, with outlets now operating in Singapore.
Atmosphere and Location
Tiong Bahru is already known for its café culture, and Fore Coffee fits right in. The space is modern and clean, ideal for a quick coffee stop or a short break while exploring the neighbourhood. Service is efficient, making it a good option if you are nearby and want a dependable cup without the wait.
Is Fore Coffee Tiong Bahru Worth Visiting
If you enjoy smooth, easy drinking coffee and are curious about Indonesian beans, Fore Coffee Tiong Bahru is worth a visit. The flat white delivers precisely what it promises, balanced, nutty and very drinkable. It may not blow your mind if you are chasing high acidity or experimental flavours, but for a reliable everyday coffee, it does the job very well.
Google Reviews:

Fore Coffee is having an opening promo. $2 for all drinks till 10th Nov. (Now I know why it’s packed especially weekends!) fyi, the seatings here can be very squeezy.
The corporate color is green… so certain parts of the plc reminds me of SAF / Army! lol.
The Americano is smooth, and robust.
Pls chk your orders periodically, becos the service staff are overwhelmed with orders… they can missed calling your order number twice.
Enjoy!
The Flat White was really rich and flavorful, also tried the Pandan Oat Latte, which had a nice fragrance but was a bit too sweet.
Both were great and the service was excellent!
