I came back here for one reason. To bring my wife.

This is JadeTown Uyghur Cuisine up in Albany. If you watched my previous video, you would know I visited their Dominion Road branch before. This time it is a different location but the same halal Uyghur comfort food with deep Central Asian flavours.

The moment you walk in,n the place pulls you in straight away. Warm dec, or relaxed vi, be and that blue eye on the wall. If you are familiar with Egyptian or Turkish culture, you already know why that detail caught my attention.

What We Ordered at JadeTown Albany

We went bigger this time.

Lamb skewer,s prawn skewer,s lamb rib,s fried lamb dumpling,s and spicy Uyghur noodles.

The lamb skewers were juicy and very fatty. A bit too rich for me personally, but my wife absolutely loved them. If you enjoy bold flavours and proper lamb,b this is very much your thing.

The prawn skewers were okay, but if I am being honest, I would stick to lamb here. That is clearly where JadeTown shines.

The dumplings, though. These were the surprise hit. Juicy, full of flavour, and absolutely no regrets ordering them.

And then noodles, hand-pulled, ed sp, i,cy comfor, ti, ng and precisely the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. This is proper comfort food done right.

Final Thoughts

One thing still confuses me. Is it J Town JadeTown or Navat?

Name aside, I would still come back without hesitation. The food is comforting, the flavours are bold, and it is a great halal option if you are craving something different from the usual.
