Summary
The service, unfortunately, does little to compensate. A crew member’s sharp reprimand—“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”—when you attempt to take a simple video of the seat, sets the tone for the flight. The outburst is jarring, especially in Business Class, where professionalism and customer service should shine. The equipment may be outdated, but that doesn’t justify raising one’s voice at a paying customer. The encounter leaves you feeling not just disrespected, but bewildered.

The journey begins at check-in, where the atmosphere feels indifferent and sets the tone for what’s to come.
Upon boarding, the state of the aircraft instantly dampens any hope for a premium experience.
Though the A330-200 cabin has spacious seats, it reveals its age at every turn. Worn upholstery, malfunctioning seat controls, and visible signs of neglect dominate the scene. Dust lingers in corners, and the dated and non-functional in-flight entertainment screens remind us of how little attention the airline has paid to modernizing or maintaining its fleet. This aircraft hasn’t been updated or adequately maintained in years.
What’s most disappointing, however, is the service, or lack thereof. During the flight, a crew member shockingly raised her voice at a myself seated in Business Class, yelling, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” when a simple video of the seat was being taken. Such behaviour is unprofessional and is deeply inappropriate for a premium cabin. The experience leaves you feeling disrespected and stunned by the lack of decorum.
If this is the treatment afforded to Business Class passengers, one can only imagine what happens in Economy Class.
The outdated equipment might be forgivable if the service were exceptional, but instead, it amplifies the frustrations.
The meal service provides no choice—what’s served is what you get. The food is lacklustre and presented without care. No amenity kits exist, and the lavatories, like the rest of the cabin, reflect years of wear and tear without proper upkeep.
By the time the flight ends, it’s a relief to disembark. Flying Tunisair Business Class is far from a premium experience, it’s a lesson in patience. Between the ageing aircraft, inattentive maintenance, and unprofessional crew, the experience feels less like a journey and more like an ordeal. Unless unavoidable, this is one airline to steer clear of.
