Description: I regret ever choosing Tunisair for my flight from Tunis to Casablanca on Friday, November 29, 2024 (Flight TU705). Despite reading numerous negative reviews, I decided to give them a chance, thinking, “How bad can it really be?” Unfortunately, it was far worse than I could have imagined. I fly business class frequently and share my travel experiences on my YouTube channel. My videos are usually objective, showcasing the seat, food, and general experience without criticizing crew or service. However, the appalling events on this particular flight have compelled me to write this review.

Summary

This is the worst airline experience I have ever had on a particular flight, and it happened in business class. While my return flight was excellent and showed me that Tunisair has competent crew members, the incident on Flight TU705 was unacceptable. Tunisair’s lack of response to my complaints only adds to my frustration.

I will share this experience on my YouTube channel to warn others. If I could give zero stars for that flight, I would. While my return flight crew redeemed my perception slightly, I still urge caution when flying with Tunisair.

I fly business class frequently and share my travel experiences on my YouTube channel. My videos are usually objective, showcasing the seat, food, and general expertise without criticizing the crew or service. However, this flight’s appalling events have compelled me to write this review.

Unwarranted Confrontation by Cabin Crew

While the flight began smoothly, with a friendly male crew member assisting us, things took a shocking turn. After the meal service, I moved to an empty row (as the entire business class was unoccupied except for my wife and me) to take photos and videos of the seat for my vlog. Suddenly, a female crew member approached me aggressively, raising her voice and questioning, “What are you doing?”

I  “calmly explained I “as simply filming the seat to share my experience. Her unfounded accusation? That I was taking pictures of “the equipment.” She had no valid response when I  “asked what was  “wrong with that. Her behaviour was unnecessarily hostile and completely unprofessional.


Refusal to Identify Herself

She flatly refused when I requested her name to file a formal complaint, claiming she needed to “check with the pilot.” This excuse is utterly” ridiculous. In my experience with other airlines, crew members introduce themselves and are happy to assist if there’s an issue. This accountability was shocking and unacceptable.

What’s even more appalling is that I discovered her identity by approaching another crew member and asking for the purser, “She is the Purser“.”

This level of secrecy and refusal to take responsibility is unacceptable for any airline, especially in business class.


Neglect for the Remainder of the Flight

After this incident, the helpful male crew member disappeared, likely following instructions from the RUDE Purser. I was entirely ignored for the next hour and a half. The female Purser remained seated, offering no service or assistance whatsoever.


Nonexistent Customer Service

Following this horrible flight, I have attempted to contact Tunisair to address the issue for more than two weeks now. Their customer service is nonfunctional: emails bounce back, their online forms return errors, and phone calls are never answered—even by their overseas offices. This appalling lack of responsiveness leaves passengers with no recourse to resolve complaints.

Return Flight Experience

My return flight from Casablanca to Tunis was a completely different experience. The crew on that flight were super friendly and apologetic after I shared what had happened on the earlier flight. They even said there must have been something wrong with the particular crew member from the previous flight, and they couldn’t do what they hadn’t done.

This crew allowed me to take videos and photos and were warm and accommodating throughout the journey. Their professionalism and kindness made it clear that my earlier experience was an outlier. However, TTunisair’sunisaement ffTunisair’sTunisted me by responding to my emails about the incident, which is highly disappointing.


To Clarify:

As mentioned, I’m here to comment on the cleanliness of the flight, the entertainment system, or other aspects. My concern is solely how a cabin crew member raised her voice at a passenger. This behaviour is unacceptable, regardless of whether the passenger is flying business class, economy class, or any other class. Such disrespect has no place in the airline industry.
